Jonathan Little knows what a poker podcast should be. It’s not all about strategy at the tables although there is plenty of that. This podcast is more about how to improve as a person and with that become a more efficient and happier poker player. He will not sugarcoat anything and has a very matter of fact way of explaining things, whether you like the answer or not. I would give this podcast and his training website 10 stars if I could!
Informative and priceless, great content with so many helpful information that will help any poker player improve their game
I haven’t listened to that many poker podcasts, but this one is definitely my favorite in terms of its content, educational quality, conciseness, and general listen-ability. I can’t listen through 30-1 hour long podcasts and still pay attention / retain information and implement. I can listen to these weekly poker hands whenever I have some time to myself whether I’m commuting, working out, or having some free time on my computer. What compelled me to write this review was when these podcasts were down for a few days, and I realized how much I enjoyed listening to them and how I just couldn’t find similar content elsewhere in a concise, digestible fashion.
I’m relatively new to the game. I grew up with a fascination for the game. Turning 21 a couple of months ago I’ve been playing $1/$2 stakes to get some relatively cheap experience. Before my 21st I played in some very low stakes home games without too much knowledge on the game. I carried that lack of knowledge with me into the poker room. I’ve been playing regularly and picking up experience where I can. This podcast by far is the best source of poker knowledge on my daily commute. Great commentary, and easy to follow. Listening to this podcast alone has already helped my game, as well as the float the turn app. Really appreciative I can get a better understanding of the game from someone who has been successful. Have recommended to all my friends.
This might be a good video but it’s a terrible podcast. Jonathan frequently forgets to tell either what the board or player’s hold cards are. On the video of course that can be seen, but Jonathan frequently forgets that this is supposed to serve a podcast audience too.
As good as the content is this podcast is extremely frustrating because he never says what the cards are on the board. He just posts the audio from his YouTube video where his “viewers” can SEE the cards but for his podcast audience trying to LISTEN to the hand review we miss 80% of the information because he won’t call it out but continues on and there is ZERO benefit to you the listener.
