This is the most comprehensive podcast that delves deeply into the movie JAWS. Plus it expands the JAWS Universe with the amazing The Book of Quint, written by podcast creator Ryan Dacko. The book is a prequel to JAWS and is a must read. It should definitely be made into a film for JAWS fans everywhere! The book deserves 5 stars!

Excellent and informative podcast which delves deep into the lore, history, and brilliance behind the blockbuster movie “Jaws.” Hosted by the affable author Ryan Dacko (“The Book of Quint”), the podcast primarily addresses the multitude of unanswered questions raised in the original novel and movie. Ryan meticulously examines the motivations for and the relationships between the iconic characters of Quint, Brody, and Hooper. But Ryan leaves no part of the Jaws’ universe untouched, and all topics are fair game. As an added bonus, the listener will also join Ryan on his personal journey to research, write, publish, promote, and publicize his “Jaws” prequel novel “The Book of Quint.” Any fan of “Jaws” will devour this podcast.

It takes titanic talent (and a good deal of nerve) to endeavor to add such a universe. The more I become acquainted with the world of Jaws and its fandom, the more I find passionate fans and a tight canon. Successfully adding to the story, while pleasing a particular and dedicated fan base, makes Ryan (with the help of John) an absolute legend. The Jaws Obsession is so engaging, so thought provoking, and so smart, that even formerly-disinterested Jaws fans are instantly hooked <fishing pun>. Ryan is in the unique position of having real life experience on the water, the ability to create a vision, and the technical savvy to educate. The JO is 10/10.

Basically 3/4 of each episode is an infomercial for the podcaster’s prequel novel. There’s some pretty decent trivial and information regarding the movie of Jaws but even with that the podcaster keeps referencing his novel.
