The early concept of this podcast was very engaging as it was in part due to continuity of passion for music memory of his friend who tragically died. There have been ups and downs in great episodes and bad episodes. However, as of recently, the episodes tend to focus mainly on Josh Adam Myers’ recent novice work in basic music production. I appreciate the passion that he has for this however the podcast has been derailed as a result of it. For instance, the Thomas Dolby episode lacks depth of questioning in a way that makes me wonder how he got the interview. I really hope that Josh can turn this podcast around for the remaining albums, and maybe redeem the love of music that his friend had. ✌️&❤️

Discovered the 5 Hunny podcast a few months ago and really enjoying the journey even though I’m so far behind. Ought to catch up about the time Josh finishes but loving all the music since I grew up through most of it. More importantly is the life spinoff life info from the guests. Sinbad blew my mind but I’m getting to know a bunch of comics and personalities who I’m less familiar with plus the coolest raw side steps they make together with the albums as jumping points. Fantastic!

The concept sounded great. But the amount of nonstop riffing and more often just talking to talk won’t let anything of interest through the noise. The only episodes I could get through were the ones with Wayne Federman. He was quietly humorous and engaged in the music. Give the podcast over to him!

I was initially so excited to listen to the episode about Janet Jackson’s Velvet Rope album. However I personally feel the host didn’t discuss the album much at all. The entire episode was an hour or more longer and 90% of it was spent talking about everything EXCEPT the album. The episode started off very strong talking about Janet’s career, but maybe about 20 minutes in - things changed. The episode came off as unorganized, very poorly researched and unnecessary. To end things on a good note though, I did enjoy Tiffany Haddish as a guest. I simply wish they would’ve stayed on the topic at hand.
