Only listened to a few episodes so far. Just finished the best opening songs one- fun episode. I’m a bit older than you guys so, there was a decent bit of stuff I wasn’t real familiar with- that’s one of the reasons I listen to punk podcasts- finding new music. Grew up in NY in the 80’s, so mostly stuff of that era- saw a lot of shows in NY and CT. 80’s NY and Boston HC is my thing, but my favorite HC band is Poison Idea, so I was super excited to see them mentioned, especially in the top 5. One comment I have is that the original version of Rock For Light doesn’t actually open with Big Takeover. That’s the sped up 90’s reissue. The OG version opens with Coptic Times. Definitely enjoy the show and look forward to listening to more. Keep up the good work.
Great podcast for longtime fans and those new to hardcore music. I am a newer fan of the genre who wanted to explore a little deeper due to my love of Hatebreed, Knocked Loose and Kublai Khan. I came across the KKTX interview from Colin and Bo on YouTube and found the Hardlore guys very funny and entertaining. This podcast opened me up to lots of great bands I’d never think to give a listen to before. Great interviews and stories from the road. Lots of food talk, makes me hungry when I listen.
I’ve listened to hardcore and metal since childhood. And yet, I’ve discovered so much more music from this show. Top tier guests and truly entertaining discussions from two of the best in the bizz.
I’ve listened to most other metal related podcasts and this is by far the best one for hardcore, and metal in general. I’ve listened through the library twice now and I want to do it again already. I’m in full support of Hardlore invading every media platform and music genre. If you guys aren’t on the red carpet talking to Gaga about McD’s within the next few years, it’ll be a huge mistake for the industry.
