This is my favorite podcast. Not just favorite Beatle podcast, but my favorite anything podcast. Robert is so well-informed and such a fan and amazing host that every episode is filled with a new take or an interesting guest or a fresh analysis. But you don't have to be a Beatles/Music obsessive to enjoy the episodes. It’s just great storytelling in general and a remarkable show overall. Bravo!!!

I discovered this podcast literally by accident in 2019 when I was on the Fabcast facebook page. I had been following that podcast for a year and stumbled upon a SATB episode where Robert was talking to Chip Madinger and Mark Easter about the remastered version of Eight Arms to Hold You. I was hooked from then on. Thank you Robert for providing years of enjoyment with amazing conversations with some of the most knowledgeable Beatles people. I look forward to every episode. Well done!

There are other Beatles podcasts that are great in very specific ways, but there is no better overall show surveying every aspects of the Beatles from before their beginnings to where their legacy may go next. Each episode tends to be a bit of a deep dive, but with such a broad back-catalogue there’s something for everyone; whether you’re a fan who likes some of the tunes to a die-hard scholar with intense opinions about the musical and interpersonal ramifications of Rishikesh. Choose one that seems interesting, and I’m sure you’ll be drawn into curiosity about other episodes you’d never have considered. As the eminence grise of Beatles podcasting, Robert gets an amazing range of guests, some of them surprisingly important to the world of the Beatles, and treats each one with unfailing respect.

the podcast is informative but the host comes across as smug a lot. I wish he still had his old co-host. He was a good balance. Also I think he over-edits a lot of the episodes. Sometimes less is more. I know he’s trying to smooth it out meticulously but because of that you can oftentimes hear multiple edits in one or two sentences. You can tell that because the ambient background noise changes abruptly from edit to edit. It’s not a dealbreaker but def noticeable. If such small sections of audio require THAT much editing, maybe it would be better to just re-record that part?
