I’ve been searching for months for ways to improve my listening comprehension in Italian. I’ve watched a few Netflix series and other videos but they’re often very difficult to follow because they speak so fast. This podcast is simple enough for me to follow along but it still challenges me. I love that I can listen to Italian while walking or driving so I’m able to immerse myself in the language.

This is exactly the podcast I was after. I have studied Italian previously, but it has been ages since I was interacting with it on a regular basis. Simone (the host) is wonderful. He’s got great topics in his series that put you in the middle of different scenarios and vocabulary. And he always delivers in a speed that allows new-ish students to follow.
It’s not for brand new, brand new learners but is perfect if you are looking to dive back in. Grazie mille, Simone.

The early episodes are incredibly interesting comprehensible input delivered by a super personable guy. Simone speaks clearly and, unlike many other podcasters producing content for learners, doesn’t read another boring monologue about pizza or Leonardo da Vinci. He appears not to be reading at all and, in fact, could be easily mistaken for a professional radio or TV host. Unfortunately the podcast has devolved into a stream of consciousness hot mess by a young man who fancies himself quite the philosopher. Hopefully he can pull himself out of him ever-increasing self-important tailspin and get back to the early format of imparting interesting information to listeners. Fingers crossed.
