Big fan of the podcast, Andy is a natural and gives thoughtful analysis. I have been listening for over a year and feel like Mike’s contribution has increased. One pet peeve is that when Mike is saying something and Andy wants to chime in Mike often increases his volume and forcibly finished his statement. I get he wants to get through his thoughts but we’re mostly here for Andy’s analysis as he’s the former pro.

I’ve been a loyal fan and subscriber of this show for over a year but after today I’m done. Andy and co have never been shy to share opinions. In fact, Andy loves to say how honest he is. And yet him and his team have spent the last 2 weeks praising and cheering for someone who’s abused multiple past partners, including the mother of his child, with not a single mention of his past or why people don’t like him. It’s one thing to report on the results and technical aspects of the game. It’s another to get on for an hour every day and say how much he deserves it, we need to give him “props,” we shouldn’t hate on him, and how it’s extra impressive since he has diabetes. One can only assume Andy and the served team just don’t care about domestic abuse. They’ll discuss everything else though. Just disgusting and they should be ashamed at their complicity in whitewashing an abuser’s image.

I grew up a huge Andy Roddick fan, and I was really excited to listen to this podcast. But honestly, every episode is the same exhausting repetitive narrative. Every episode turns into a defense of every player against any criticism. He constantly explains how great they all are and why we should appreciate them more. Most listeners are actual tennis fans who already respect the players and the grind. We don’t need nonstop advocacy. What we want is honest, down-to-earth insight and analysis from a former top player—not a constant defense of how good everyone is. Tone down the worship and give us real thoughts. Right now it feels more like PR than a podcast.
