This has easily been my favorite go to podcast for the past couple years! Tell me it isn’t true that this is the last episode!! Thanks you two for all the inspirational and reviving thoughts! Your exceptional way of teaching and interaction with each other has brightened my day each episode! I’ll hope to find future similar projects from both of you!
Please say you’re coming back! I love this podcast. I get so manny good little nuggets of wisdom in a format that is perfect for my ADHD brain.
What a JOY it is to listen to these two. A beautiful conversation among friends and feels like a refreshing reset when I need a little boost in the week. I frequently have quotes from Dave or Stephan come back to me in times of need—how grateful I am for all their efforts in taking the time out to produce these episodes. I have referenced their conversations as I am preparing material for talks and lessons, and love their bits of humor intertwined in the meat of the episode. It’s relatable, validating, encouraging and helps me desire to and build a deeper relationship with God. Bless these two and all those behind the scenes!
The title is a bit of a joke, but this show really does have an effervescent effect. I listen to A LOT of spiritual podcasts—both from those of my own faith tradition and those from others. I have never written a review, but I just feel like I am not properly showing my gratitude to Stephen and David if I don’t here. So here goes. I find this podcast to be the least annoying the least amount of the time compared with other podcast’s by members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (my own faith tradition). Although I started with that, that is just a bonus for me, because I don’t let those LDS oddities keep me from listening to podcasts that do annoy me anyhow. I just kind of accept it as par for the course. The meat of what is so lovely about this podcast is that it is sincere; it focuses on the very heart of the gospel; it genuinely increases my experience of divinity; it’s very real; it’s fun; and it doesn’t fall into any of the common blunders (oddities? Peculiarities?) of other LDS podcasts. Stephen and David address the shadow side of what can be taken from the truths they address lending to a nuance that can be missing in some podcasts. They tend not to fall into Utah cultural tropes that often end up inadvertently being set forth in religious podcasts; they are so honoring of people of all faiths and don’t straw man different views; and they don’t put truth statements ahead of Jesus Christ. It’s really very lovely. I recommend it to everyone.
