Retro RPG Podcast

If you want straight forward and structured conversation about classic games, listen to the Retronauts. If you want hilarious banter mixed with some gaming and movie reviews, Derek and Don are your guys. These guys play well off of each other and have great chemistry. Give this podcast a listen! Or don’t, it doesn’t matter... None of this matters.

They really remind me of my friends and I, just two 30 somethings talking about games but inevitably get distracted by some real life stuff, but it’s all stuff that’s easy to relate to. It really is an easy listen for anybody who can relate. Keep it up

You guys are pretty great to listen too. I went back and started from the beginning and I think the random off topics are my favorite. Your random stories about work or the in depth review of LaRossa’s pizza are hilarious. Your game reviews are fun too. Just wish we could get more than 1 per year. Look forward to listening to more.

They go off on tangents and sometimes take a long time to get to the game they're talking about, but it works. The free-flowing conversational nature of it makes it relaxing to listen to, like playing the game with your friends. Very relatable. If foul language bothers you, RUN AWAY! Good job guys.

You guys are easy on the ears and remind me of rambling about games with my childhood friend when I was younger who died a few years ago. I enjoy the more casual nature of the show, not trying to be to structured or serious just talking about something you love. I usually listen to the podcast on the way to working the drive home. Keep up the good work.

You know something isn’t good when they can’t make you interested in a topic or subject you are passionate about. The first episode I tried, one host went on and on about how playing games for the show is such a chore and isn’t fun when it’s for “work”. Why would I enjoy listening to something the hosts dislike creating? The same host has a tone that reeks of eye roll, and like he’d rather be doing literally anything else. If you want a fun, enjoyable podcast about classic RPGs, PLEASE check out Square Roots instead. They’re the best!
