What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

I’ve been listening to all the Relic Radio shows for over a decade now and they’re consistently fantastic. The episodes tend to be of a higher sound quality and a superior quality in all regards. Thanks for doing this, AD FREE(!) and keep up the excellent work.

Holy Mountaineer · Oct 2025

These old shows are entertaining and fun but the best part is because there’s no picture, the listener has to pay attention and use his imagination. You have to focus actively rather than be the passive recipient of a TV program. The absence of “woke” messaging is another big plus. These shows are fun and wholesome.

GenoRingo · Mar 2024

Relic Radio is the best Old Time Radio podcast. The curation is excellent and having the genres separated exclusively allows me to binge on the ones I enjoy, with zero duds. I don’t usually review podcasts but this one deserves special consideration.

Actual Field tech · Nov 2023

Not only are these shows well written and produced but they also paint a picture of the worries at the start of the Cold War. The voice acting from this era of radio is amazing. They really do a great job of making you feel the suspense and drama of the stories. If you have interest in this time in history (post WW2, Cold War, red scare) you will enjoy these shows. They are a dramatization of the fears and politics of a world in transition.

Jvg74 · Jun 2018

The stories are awesome but the voice of the main protagonist is so annoying. He clearly has a deviated septum or a serious cold in most of the episodes. The sinus problem alone would be one thing but it’s combined with what sounds like a Chicago accent. I can’t get the two out of my mind. If not for that, I’d be a dedicated fan. Great program and storyline! Poor voices.
