In February 2022, a group of professional divers were sucked hundreds of feet into an oil pipe, deep beneath the Caribbean sea off the coast of Trinidad and Tobago. They could have been saved. But they weren’t. They were left to die.
This is their story… a tale of how their ordinary day at work turned into an unimaginable horror. Following their story has led us to lucrative contracts, failing safety standards and secretive political relationships… And to a question: why were those divers left to die?

Very well put together and professional. I liked hearing the first person interviews directly from the people involved. Great reporting. I appreciated that there aren’t a ton of commercials either. Would have given full 5 stars but I thought the last 2 episodes could have been combined or even fit into episode 3. Might have been interesting to hear from a doctor or medical expert on their point of view.

The emotion and depth in this podcast is incredible. Isabella instantly has you caught up in this tragic story, a tale of betrayal, heartbreak, and what risks you are willing to take in order to survive.
Before this podcast, I was listening to ‘Titanic, Ship of Dreams,’ and was going through episodes very quickly. I started looking for other stories like the Titanic, that had the same feeling I adored. When I came across ‘Pipeline, Left to Die,’ I was quickly caught up in the sadness of it all, and now I can’t put it down.

I was so interested in the story, but the commercials and ads for other podcasts left me forgetting what they had even been talking about. I couldn’t even get through the first episode because it through me off so much. Sad, because I really was interested.
