Not Just Football with Cam Heyward - Podcast Rankings and reviews

I love Cam & Hayden’s podcast and listen every week. The guests are so good, the four down and short time with a long snapper segments are great, and the banter between Cam and Hayden keeps me chuckling. The episodes with the vets from the 00’s are my favorites— I get goosebumps walking across DC to and from work, even when it’s 100°! Love hearing how the guys rib each other but also the respect Cam has for keeping locker room talk in the locker room; he doesn’t engage in mess in the family or within the league. I also love how Hayden comes at everything like a fan (like most listeners, I assume) while Cam shares the player perspective and the “silly” things fans care SO much about but players don’t even rate. It’s a cool perspective to hear and learn about.

My only complaint is the audio. I listen to a ton of podcasts and this one has the worst audio, consistently. You have to turn it way up especially if listening in the car or on a noisy walking commute but then the commercials scare the ever loving spit out of me!!! Cam’s audio is consistently lower volume and lower quality than Hayden’s and many times the guests sound like they are calling in from a cell phone in their car. I’m not going to stop listening, obviously, but I wish they’d invest a bit in the tech.

Would love an episode with more of the “not just football” side of the Heyward crew — Ma Heyward, Craig, Corey, Allie, Cal and the girls! And interviews with the Heyward House staff and things.

The conversations with the guests are always well done. You get to know more about current & former Steelers as real people, not just as football players. Cam’s calm demeanor is a refreshing way to talk about sports. He can express his opinions without being mean or nasty. I’m a big fan of him as a person & a player. He’s a leader on & off the field…great job with this podcast,

I love getting an inside look at the players and hearing their stories, but it is so hard to hear Cam and some of the other guys with super deep voices. I end up turning it up, then someone else talks and it’s blasted. Just a suggestion to try to fix the audio.

I love how this gives us an inside look of the NFL and especially the Steelers because I’m a 14-year-old Steelers fan and the guests are lit and it’s overall just funny, entertaining and interesting!
