I recently started listening to this Oregon Ducks podcast, and the content itself is actually really solid. The hosts clearly know their stuff, and they provide a lot of good insight that keeps you engaged if you’re a Ducks fan. You can tell there’s real potential here for this to become a great go-to podcast. That said, the sound quality is pretty rough. At times it honestly sounds like they’re recording in a public bathroom. The audio issues make it hard to listen to for long stretches, and better equipment or a more controlled recording setup would make a huge difference. Overall, great information and passionate hosts, but the production quality really holds it back. If they upgrade their audio, this could easily become one of the top Ducks podcasts out there.

Matt’s 4/8/24 solo men’s basketball episode was the best pod of the year. He just reported facts and didn’t burden the episode with 35 qualifiers. He says there will be more men’s basketball pods like this going forward, and I look forward to that. When the show starts playing the ‘Let’s name as many current football players on the roster as we can - while emphasizing the deepest cuts’ I lose interest. Why there wasn’t a Troy Franklin specific pod episode last summer - I’ll never know. Sco Ducks!

The three hosts deliver insights to Duck athletics, each with their own unique style. They do share a sense of levity which prevents the show from bogging down into an overly solemn affair. The emphasis is on football (as the show title suggests). Autzen Audibles includes occasional guests ranging from Oregon staff to beat writers covering upcoming opponents. It’s an entertaining podcast that I highly recommend.

I love this podcast and howfrequently they post episodes. I’m used to listening to heavily edited and researched podcasts that don’t come out often, so the constant content is nice. It’s nothing fancy, but the content is good, constant and entertaining. Go Ducks!
