#197 NEW Music Interviews US

What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

I was first introduced to Jann Klose at the NAMM Show in Anaheim in January 2025, where he was performing with my friend and former Michigan classmate Marcella Detroit and Rachel Flowers, whom I know from living in Ventura. I went mainly to see Marcella and Rachel and say hello, but I came away really impressed with Jann and with the chemistry the three of them had together. Their talents blended so naturally that I remember thinking right away that these were people I would really enjoy working with someday. Since then, I’ve had the chance to see Jann perform at the legendary Bitter End in New York, and I’m now looking forward to producing a show with Jann, Marcella and Rachel in Ventura on January 31, 2027. I was also happy to discover that Jann hosts the podcast Making Sound With Jann Klose. Naturally, the first two episodes I listened to were his conversations with Marcella and Rachel. What impressed me most was that even though I already knew both of them, I learned so much more about their lives, careers, creative process and musical journeys. Jann has a very natural way of making the conversation feel relaxed and personal, which allows his guests to really open up. That’s what I enjoy about a great podcast — you come away feeling like you know the person a little better than you did before. I highly recommend Making Sound With Jann Klose. I’m looking forward to hearing more of Jann’s conversations and discovering the other artists and stories he brings to the show. Well done, Jann. Keep up the great work.

I started listening about a month ago, I’m on episode 27. You have such great guests on. I’ve been introduced to a lot of new music and musicians after hearing you speak with them. so thank you Jann! I can’t wait to hear the rest.

I love listening to this podcast! For someone like me who doesn’t know much about the music business, he makes it entertaining and interesting. I enjoy learning about his subjects’ music paths as well as their personal stories. Jann’s relaxed and fun style makes it a perfect listen for my long drives!

Lea, and Rosi · Mar 2021

I am a podcast enthusiast. Making sound is now the podcast I look most forward to listening to. Jann interviews people from all areas of the music business. The interviews provide personal insights into the lives of the people profiled. Jann does a great job making his guests feel comfortable. He weaves his own experiences with those of his guests. The shows are not just about music, they are about life-the daily struggles that we all face, and the ups and downs of those who work in the music field. I am always inspired by the stories, and they motivate me to pick up my instrument, sing, and to compose original music. Thanks Jann for being one of the highlights of my week!

Kutshers! · Dec 2020

I was so excited to see that some of my favorite Mouseketeers were being interviewed about their time on the show. I didn’t know who Jann was but I started listening because of the guests. I have to say I won’t be listening again. He took more time bragging about his work and who he knows than talking to his guests. And he’d interrupt them to talk about himself. I don’t want to know about your career. I want to know about who you are interviewing. It was very hard to get through because of that. Please think Of another way to do this if you continue. And if you want to talk about yourself, then do an interview alone.

ForeverAmusicFan · Dec 2020
