Probably my favorite podcast on the internet. They have a great mix of guests genre-wise, and I always learn so much every episode. John the host is awesome (I’ve stopped listening to podcasts in the past if the host’s conversation skills kind of sucked). One if the best music-related podcasts period, well done!
I stumbled upon this podcast when searching for podcasts with Bastille after finishing Muses, and listened to the episode with Dan Smith talking about Gimmie the Future. I enjoyed it so much I started going through the archives for other artists I recognized like Orla Gartland, Fizz, Everything Everything… now I’m wishing every artist did this podcast for every album. Learning about the process and how different sounds I love came to be is such an antidote to the destructive nature of the news and listening to this podcast has probably helped me lower my blood pressure. Loving it and looking forward to more
I am working my way through every episode and I cannot get enough of it. I’ve learned so much about the song making process and marvel out how these artists are not only willing to spill their secrets but are eager to do so. You can tell that they love nothing more than to talk about what gets them excited about the process as John masterfully guides them along. I guarantee that your favorite song was not made how you think and you’ll be hanging on every ear-opening word!
Absolutely love this podcast. It gets deep into the intricacies of what goes into a song while not losing an audience (me) with very little understanding of audio production. You start to listen to music differently. Can’t wait for more.
