It’s a great podcast. I learn more from listening to this pod than reading my history textbooks. Facts about major history events all in 15 minutes. Try it before you judge it!

This is clearly a professionally done podcast. The narrator, the sound effects, the editing, etc: everything is very well done.
However, the content is too short. There is barely any story telling. They just have time to discuss a couple of dates and loosely tie them together with a two sentences that summarize years or decades in between them. This would be much better as ‘History weekly’ episodes that would last 30 to 45 mins.
And the deal breaker for me is how many ads are inserted. I get that podcasts have to cover their expenses but 6 mins of ads across a 15-min episode is very excessive.
Overall, the negatives are significant enough that I am not going to be a regular.

I love this podcast so much that I’ve made it part of my nightly routine as I get ready for bed. In less than 20 minutes, the host tells an interesting synopsis of a specific event from that day in world history. Some of the topics are things we’ve all heard of, and some are more obscure, but the stories are all equally enjoyable. If you’re a history fan (like me), you’ll love it. If you want to learn more about history but don’t have time or energy to study it, this is what you’re looking for!

LOVE this podcast. I find it interesting and love the host’s delivery. The amount of ads and ad breaks is really bringing it down. For example, today’s podcast has 16 mins of content and 6 mins of ads, with 2-3 breaks in the middle of a short podcast.

I enjoy the concept of this podcast, brief summaries of interesting incidents in history. But the non-stop ads, they nearly equal the time given to the subject, is just too much to tolerate. And there are way too many reruns for me to ever consider a payed subscription to avoid the ads.

The Host does a good job with the podcast, but you’ll hear more ads than any story they put out. Ads are more than 60% of every days podcast episode.
