I first listened to this because I loved Patrick from TCO and this was another way to listen to him. Well, Ellyn turned out to be the real attraction and when she brought Joey in, this show really found its niche. I absolutely adore them both and I listen every week. Patrick who? Don’t skip this hilarious show from two incredibly talented people, it’s just a ton of fun plus also crime!

I love this podcast and I love Ellyn and Joey!! I love how loud and funny they are, but also how serious and sensitive they can be when needed. I haven’t met them in person, but I feel like we’ve been friends for years. This podcast makes my work day much easier. If you’re not listening…what’s wrong with you?

The last episode opened with literally eight minutes of self promotion. Then I counted and averaged, there were ads every 5.5 minutes. I listen to podcasts all day and support the ads, they provide free content and I use the promo codes. I’m on board with this system, but this was nuts. And if the content in between was great I’d be like yes fine, thanks for the ads. It’s not funny enough for entertainment and they’re not doing the real journalism that other pods are doing. Also please no fart songs, I’m not in middle school.

I like true crime podcasts where the podcasters are authentic and empathetic… this podcast lacks both… these two are trying so hard to be funny, cool, and relevant at the expense of the actual true crime story they are trying to tell. Their personalities, jokes, and conversations feel forced and contrived. Not a fan.
