I discovered this podcast after watching tons of HRCC YouTube videos and catching a few Saturday night live streams—I haven’t missed an episode since! Josh and Leah take time out of their very busy schedule to record this show, and I truly appreciate that. The podcast covers a mix of topics, ranging from family and municipal politics to preparedness and radio.
As a self-admitted HRCC fanboy, I eagerly await each episode drop. Thank you, Josh, for all facets of HRCC, and more importantly, thank you, Leah, for not only joining us on this podcast but also for supporting Josh in the HRCC endeavor.
73,

Long time listener and first ever podcast review. Having listened for about a year, and caught up back to 2022, I can say that this is one of the best (though sometimes long 🤣) podcasts I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. The mixture of ham radio and real life issues gives this podcast a balance that is enjoyable to listen to whether I’m driving, working or just piddling in the shack. Keep up the good work and I look forward to many more years of listening and laughing. 73’s

If you’re interested in adding a real word interaction while learning about ham radio this is for you. Not only do they offer technical information but also by going “off topic” they make it feel more like sitting around a table and talking with family. On the technical aspect don’t worry Josh is an engineer but not like a vegan engineer (always telling us how he knows his stuff) he’s got enough crayons to explain this to us like we are toddlers without being rude. Leah is the one who lets be honest adds personality and makes it a humorous get together. Between the YouTube channel, podcast, and discord I’ve racked up technician, general, and halfway through studying for my extra.
Thank you guys for all the hard work and effort it takes to put this together. I always am waiting for the notification of a new episode and hope there’s many more to come.

Been listening to this show for about a year and while I was skeptical of the new format at first, I have since grown to like it. The show is both informative and entertaining and the dynamic between the hosts is light and upbeat. There is plenty to learn about amateur radio in this show and plenty of laughs to be had! This has been a good show to add to my podcast rotation and I look forward to listening to it each week. I would recommend this show to anyone with an interest in amateur radio.
Update 04/25:
In the latest episode the preparedness corner consisted entirely of the hosts reading ai generated content. Unfortunately I am going to have to change my rating. It’s sad that even one of my favorite podcasts has been infected with ai slop. Please Josh and Leah stick to the formula that makes this podcast so enjoyable, I would much rather have shorter episodes than have to listen to the soulless ai generated content that plagues most of the internet. I would much rather hear the creativity and humor that comes from Josh and Leah as well as the large community of podcast contributors.
