I’ve been listening for a few years and this has become one i don’t miss. The level of detail to their research is great and educational, but the real value is their thematic analysis of each film. if you like film and want to learn more about how it’s made and what it means, tune in. if i could choose one film for them to do, it would be the 1961 West Side Story. great production history and i’d love to hear them talk about the eye of that duck
Such a deeply charming and fun podcast. The hosts have great chemistry and the episodes are so engrossing. Favorite podcast of all time
Discovered Eye of the Duck 2 months ago to listen to a pod abt a movie that none of my usual movie pods had covered. Can’t remember the film now, but usually in that situation, I’m always disappointed in the quality of the discussion. There’s a ton of film podcasts out there and a lot of them are not so good. Eye of the Duck is not in that category! The range of films is huge for the few years these guys have been at it, and the quality of discussion is top tier. I like the dynamic between the hosts and they have a lot of interesting takes while remaining chill and non-pretentious. This has quickly become one of my favorites and I’ll seek out an eye of the duck ep over my usual pod selections whenever there’s an episode overlap. Keep it up fellas!
Thoughtful, insightful, and loving film conversation. Dom and Adam know film and they frankly love it, regardless of genre. I learn something about artists/productions or gain fresh perspective on a film from every episode.
