I started listening to 66/40 on the radio 20 years ago while driving home from school and I’ve enjoyed it ever since. Chuck’s longer studies are broken down into shorter, bite-sized episodes that are more accessible.

Hermeneutical biblical foundation is unshakable, and he nailed it when he explained Revelation, chapter by chapter, in 24 sessions. Probably the most special blessing is the way Dr. Missler breaks through all the confusion in The Bible caused by interpretive errancy taught from virtually all of America’s pulpits and study groups. You get one thing wrong, then nothing makes sense. Dr. Missler shatters this with his brand of hermeneutics that he explains simply, “the mistakes I’ve made in understanding The Bible over the years is when I didn’t take it literally enough!”. That means carefully distinguishing the story form of The Bible’s 66 books from the perspective of themes, patterns, figures of speech and foundations of Jewish culture and Greek language among many other aspects that are easily lost on the modern reader. Take away the cultural barrier from modern literature and life and we are left with an astounding view of the most profound and beautiful message from God to His Creation. And it’s provable, which is also revealed as we study with Chuck! I miss Dr. chuck as many of you. I saw his funeral in New Zealand. Above his grave rests a simple, antique plow. It is inspiring and touching at the same time. His many talents as a scientist and scholar were utilized by God after he lost his fortune and business, and has been behind that plow until the day God brought him home. Chuck is a gift from God to all of us! Every time life gets tough, I think of the plow, and it inspires me to keep going. We miss you, Brother. See you soon.
