What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

This podcast really breaks things down on a deeper level than other Hornets podcasts. Adding James Plowright is what made me start listening to BuzzBeat. I listen to whatever platform he is on. Richie and Matt are cool too, but James is my guy. Good podcasts overall and good substack content.

Genuine and intelligent basketball talk without all the outside noise and fluff.Informative and entertaining listen. A must listen for any Hornets fan or anyone who simply wants to learn more about basketball. This pod is responsible for re-engaging me into the NBA. And I think it will do the same for you just give it a listen.

Pinehurst19 · Jul 2025

It’s great to have a logic-based review of the Hornets. A lot of data, facts, fun, and just enough hope to keep me listening!

Brian King NC · Apr 2025

Even though Buzz Beat’s frequency has taken a step back because of Richie’s priorities, the quality is still the best among the Hornets podcasts. The knowledge of the game shines through, as it always has since the inception of the pod.

RDR923 · Nov 2024

Great content. However, the amount of throat clearing/coughing/lip smacking/loud swallows make listening to this podcast really annoying. Not sure if it’s just a lack of editing or if no one has ever told them how loud these sounds are on an episode. You know now I guess. Compared to other Hornets/basketball pods this content is really specific and good, but it definitely wouldn’t be my first recommendation simply because of how annoying listening can be.
