Binchtopia

one of them… I guess I’m picky. There’s only 3 podcasts that I have continually listened to for more than a year and this is one of them. I am obsessed and I’ll listen to anything Julia & Eliza have to say. I have learned so much and I’m usually laughing/crying along the way. I will never get bored. Please never stop producing binchtopia ❣️

This is literally the best podcast ever. My roommates insisted that I listened to binchtopia as I am not a very avid podcast user but when I started I could not stop. I will catch myself cackling out loud in the middle of work when I sneakily have one AirPod in listening to my besties or out in public laughing forgetting my surroundings. The pod gets so deep but also keeps the vibes up at all times! Literally has added so much to my life especially my new lingo, personality, and voice🔥🔥🔥🔥

I’ve been a binchie for a couple years and I’m a sweet baby angel on Patreon but like what happened to the pod??? Every ep is mailbox or Reddit and none of the brilliant well researched eps that I subscribed for. I miss when you binchies would go off with a well researched and interesting topic and now it feel like this is just another social media podcast that just reads Reddit and fan questions. I miss the old pod and I’m a tiny bit salty that I subbed to Patreon for this :,)

literally best podcast ever. so many deep cutting topics, research, and takes that really address the intricacies of experiences for the girlies and the gays.

I’ve been listening since 2021 and initially found their vague gestures to sociology, politics, psychology, etc interesting, but eventually it became clear that they are only comfortable/willing to discuss the systems of oppression that affect them directly as two white, educated, well-off cis women. If you fall into that category, you may enjoy and feel seen by this podcast, but otherwise you will feel deeply alienated as they devote multiple episodes to the crisis in Ukraine and antisemitism but fail to meaningfully attend to the systems of oppression they directly benefit from (anti-Blackness, genocides in P@lest!ne Sudan and the Congo, etc). I’m not certain what the point of their platform is anymore—if you want to hear meaningful and informed commentary, I would seek podcasts featuring actual experts/scholars on topics of interest rather than two people who do a few hours of googling before turning their mics on.

Having a podcast that covers such a wide range of topics, and completely ignoring the ongoing genocide occurring in Palestine is abhorrent. The only time they mentioned Palestine in the last few months was to say “it’s too complicated” but the entire premise of this podcast is supposedly to thoroughly investigate and analyze current issues with humor and care. The Palestinian occupation is related to all colonial projects, you simply cannot ignore it. This isn’t a leftist podcast it’s white feminism, which is just white supremacy in disguise.
