What a fantastic podcast packed with insight into the craft of photography. A must-listen for any photographer looking to improve their skills and gain a deeper appreciation for the art.
OMG. If you are over 60 this podcast is time travel to the past. If you are younger this podcast is educational. Babek is just a great guy, thoughtful, philosophical, talented. You will smile if not laugh all the way through this podcast. It is fun educational, amusing, thought provoking. ENJOY
This program and its guests have taken my photography to an entirely new level. Every time a new episode drops I carve out the necessary time to listen and take notes. Richard asks the questions that you want answered. Can’t get enough of this program.
My latest comfort binge. Richard is excellent at interviewing his fascinating guests and his solo episodes are just as interesting.
I recently began listening to Beyond The Lens while driving cross country. Richard Bernard asks personable, well thought out, questions that disarm his guests immediately. There was no useless babble at the beginning before getting to the ‘meat and potatoes’ somewhere in the middle. It was all substance from beginning to end, done in a light manner that doesn’t get old or boring. After a few episodes I just wanted to grab a camera, do some editing, and work on my skills. Even the promos for sponsors were interesting. I discovered on this drive that this podcast isn’t for killing time, it’s a quality learning experience with useful photography questions. Richard asks the questions I wanted to hear. Beyond The Lens is seriously one of the best podcasts out there!!
