So happy to see this podcast back! I really enjoyed the most recent episode. Some things come to mind as a discussion point. DC’s decision to convert Brainwave Jr to a villain was the easy road for them to take. Henry’s arc was all about redeeming the Brainwave name and honoring his father’s sacrifice. To fully make him a villain was a disservice to the character and many years of character development. Now going onto Deathstroke. I also agree with Shag that Slade is a much better character when he is playing the anti-hero role. Some of his best stories are when he is juggling between doing what is right and wrong while also keeping to his mercenary mentality. Thanks again for another amazing episode.
I’m extremely late to this Who’s Who party, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t offer up an obligatory rave review. Shag and Rob offer up a podcast—not just the Who’s Who Podcast, but also the long-tenured Fire and Water Podcast—that is perfectly listenable, re-listenable, and re-listenable again. On top of rating a 10 out of 10 in evergreen-ness (is that a word?)—- the Who’s Who and F&W Podcasts stand out in that they’re riveting and evocative of nostalgia (so much of it wrapped up in that first glimpse of Perez’s Aquaman, Atom, and Animal Man staring at me from the spinner rack), but at the same time, they’re crazily suitable for just peacefully having in the background. Any time you two fellas see fit to churn out more content, I am here for it. *Impact* Loose-Leaf edition…. let’s do this!
