This podcast is extremely different than any other show I listen to but by far the best. The only one I can listen to repeats since I’m always caught up. I was drawn in by the hilarious commentary with the Brady Bunch but stayed for the general comedy between the two of you. I am so glad you kept the show going after the bunch. I didn’t watch a lot of the shows you have done but still enjoyed every minute of the episodes. Literally my all time comfort podcast. Thanks for the entertainment fellas and Keet Smotin!
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know how many hours of enjoyment you provide us. We have listened to the Brady podcast in its entirety and love it so much we are listening to it for a second time. You guys are such a great team and my son and I often try to predict what you would say about each and every episode as well as Family Affair episodes that we suggested you do. We have watched Brady Bunch repeatedly through the years and have never enjoyed it as much as we do now. We are often amused by the references you give throughout the show to movies like Troll 2 and love the fact that you catch things that we have not even though I , myself was a viewer of Brady Bunch when it first aired (oops guess I’m showing my age, oh well). We can really identify with your warped sense of humor as well. We loved your personal touches like the “Oh Daddy” snip it that you repeatedly used throughout the “Father of the Year” episode. We couldn’t stop laughing. Sorry this is lengthy, but we just can’t tell you how much we appreciate you guys and how much we look forward to hearing the next show to be aired. Long time listener here, and glad Tag and Jimmy are revisiting The Brady Bunch. Random episodes of other shows are okay, but I’m all in on the Bradys. Grew up watching it, have seen the episodes dozens of times. These two are irrelevantly funny, love the personal side stories, and even the commercials are entertaining.
The hosts, Tach and Jimmy are two lifelong buddies who’s personalities mesh really well. Their 5th grade sense of humor matches mine (ha ha) as they do episodic rewatches of classic TV shows. I enjoy their banter and joking as much as the any part of the show. There are plenty of episodes so you can binge listen. I recommend making this podcast part of any road-trip. Your drive will fly by as you let the episodes run continuously. The audio is high quality as well (not that canned, poor quality audio that is typical of many other podcasts). I don’t see me ever taking A Very Brady Podcast off my playlist. I look forward to listening each week. Makes me wish I had shiny new hubcaps on my station wagon Jim M
I appreciate what they’re trying to do here, and I like the humorous takes on these old shows, but making the same jokes over and over and OVER again makes this a painful listen. Five seasons of The Brady Bunch making the SAME joke about Alice in EVERY EPISODE. 🙄 Announcing you’re not sexist or racist at the end of every episode doesn’t negate all the sexist and racist things you say throughout the episode. There’s a way to be funny without being mean spirited. None of this comes off as fun. They just sound like jerks. Also, the constant wheezing laugh, throat clearing, grunts and “sorry” after every bad joke is like fingernails on a chalkboard. This podcast could have been great. Unfortunately it’s a hard pass.
