This is the best story I have ever heard. I’m not even through the first season. But I literally had to pause (ep33) just to write this. The pictures pained in my head. The emotions invoked. I can’t even begin to explain how beautiful the story telling is. From sound track. To voice acting. To the fact that this is partially IMPROVISED?!? I am genuinely not impressed but BLOWN AWAY!!

Forever DM here. I love watching and listening to TTRPG content as it’s the closest I get to playing without prep. I just finished Season 1 and it may be the best campaign I have ever heard. It has been a privilege and I cannot wait to continue this journey which has warmed my heart to tears, made me laugh, and inspired me.

Amazing production quality, but a lot feels overdramatized and emotionally super saturated, as if every scene needs to be so momentous as to warrant a kind of breathy and gushy over delivery. Reminds me of high school theatre rehearsals

I love the cast and subscribed to the Patreon before episode 1 even aired. I loved the children’s adventure. The rest of the show I honestly cannot even enjoy listening to and I’ve tried through 30+ episodes. It is over sound edited which is distracting at best and irritating at worst. I’ve seen each of these cast members play and dm great characters with great arcs. This show is not that. With the exception of Eursolon the characters don’t have any compelling conflict or personality. It doesn’t feel like people playing dnd nor does it feel like people telling a compelling story. It feels like people trying to force a story to come out of moments that aren’t there. When they do a new campaign I may try again but in an area as saturated as actual play, there are many other options I will listen to first.
