What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

I absolutely love TAZ, and it’s surprisingly been pretty monumental in my life. It’s what got me into DM’ing, and also kickstarted my newest hobby of coding, which is a bit of a longer story that, if you don’t care to hear, you can stop reading and understand that it all sums up to TAZ being amazing. My parents started listening to the show when Amnesty was coming out, and occasionally, they’d let me listen to an episode. I immediately got hooked on the podcast, but unfortunately, I was unable to listen to anything more than what they gave me because of the swearing and such. When Abnimals came out and I learned it wouldn’t have any swearing, I downloaded the whole season and listened to it on repeat ad infinitum. At some point though, I decided I really wanted to experience more of the podcast, and with some gentle nudging from my father, I made a script in Python to cut all the swears and vulgarities out. From there, my love for coding snowballed, as well as my love for TAZ. Ethersea, Vs. Dracula, Balance, Amnesty, Steeplechase, they were all amazing. Graduation and Abnimals included. I’m crossing my fingers for Ethersea Season 2!

JustAnotherGuyTheThird · Aug 2026

This has been my favorite podcast for years and I’ve listened to every arch/episode multiple times. I’d highly recommend it if you’re into TTRPGs or actual play podcasts or if you just like to laugh a lot

AmpleStrides · Jul 2026

I just listened to The Balance Arc it it’s entirety again after losing my beloved dog and the way this story both splits my heart in two but gently puts it back together is hard to put into words. The unrelenting joy and chaos is balanced perfectly with real emotion and heart. Amnesty and Graduation are also top tier listens in my opinion. Thank you to the McElroy family for this wonderful gift.

Bfetty8 · Jun 2026

i know you’ll probably never read this but balance changed my life. i’ve been listening since i was 13, and listened to it all the way through three times. this podcast is and forever will be my biggest comfort in rough times. you guys never cease to make me feel a little less alone in this big world. thank you for being a lighthouse in the storm for this teenage girl. ❤️

teenageabomination · Jun 2026

I am a huge Fan of this podcast first and foremost. I love the McElroys and their content. But wow Abnimals is not good. I tried really hard to get into it but I couldn’t get past episode 5. I was bored, the theme does not interest me at all. Seem like a poor imitation of TMNT. I’m sorry guys, but I’m skipping this one.
