What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Truth unites is a wonderful statement. Gavin Ortlund approaches each topic covered in this podcast with wisdom, intelligence, and humility, leaving the listener with biblical insights that may very well be life-changing. I am grateful for his honest and gracious approach to seeking and teaching the truth. This podcast is a beacon of clarity for anyone seeking to understand the Christian faith in a world full of fruitless arguments and self proclaimed Christian apologists. Find an episode that looks interesting and give it a listen– you will not regret it!

Jerome Johanan · May 2025

It is rare to find a man or theologian with this much humility yet at the same time extremely knowledge and astonishingly, also be able to communicate his deep reformed theology very clearly. I love all topics Dr. Ortlund goes over, I love a lot of his responses being from a deep understanding of a reformed view of historical Christianity. This podcast is a must listen to anyone wanting to deepen their knowledge of theology but also, more importantly, know Christ.

BookReviewer123 · May 2025

Love this channel and what Gavin not only teaches but models for his listeners. I have been greatly shaped by his books and podcasts on Christian unity. Our Savior and Lord prayed for us that we would love one another and be unified as He is unified with the Father. This love and unity directly impacts how the world sees Christ and His Bride. This channel is a breath of fresh air when it seems like the majority of Christian content creators (in my experience) are seeking to ‘dunk’ on any opposing viewpoints even when it’s a brother/sister in Christ.

Pmccotter3 · Apr 2025

When I’m done listening to an episode I never leave without learning something new, or thinking about something in different way. Even when I disagree with him, I can always understand/follow his point of view. An oasis in a desert of Protestant apologetics.
