I’m grateful for this podcast since I haven’t learned Tanakh enough and this is a great way to get a good overall exposure to it. I appreciate how the presenters are passionate and bring in the classical and modern mefarshim and relate what happens in Nakh to Chumash. However I wish that the ethically problematic passages, such as the commandment to commit genocide against the nations living in the land of Israel, were not just taken at face value. I also wish the the presentation of the rape of the concubine of Givah had been more direct— I think a good opportunity to discuss how strongly the Torah condemns sexual violence against women wasn’t utilized to the extent it could have been. Otherwise, like I stated above, I’m very grateful for all the hard work these women scholars have done and I’m thrilled their scholarship is being showcased in this manner.
