What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

This is such a well done and entertaining podcast. The quality of the research is great but I also really appreciate how apolitical it is too - just facts! Yael and Jonathan clearly enjoy working together to uncover and share highlights of Jewish history and it’s a treat for the listener.

The Bestie Estie · Aug 2026

Each episode is informative and entertaining. It is clear that they are well researched, and presented by the hosts in a conversational way, not preachy or dull. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

Valleestein · Aug 2026

Every time I get to the last episode, I get so sad. I love learning Jewish history from people who love learning Jewish history. I love the weird history behind all of our culture and traditions and I especially enjoy listening to it as I go about my day. This podcast is right up my alley. I wish there were 100 more episodes.

yoyoyona · Apr 2026

This episode was really intriguing and gave such a clear picture of the times. The hosts are even handed, well researched, while also entertaining- which is the case in all their episodes as well. I always learn something new.
