What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

If you like podcasts where two film nerds read from IMDb pages in real time while sort of vaguely implying that they just knew all of these facts, you’ll love this show. The hosts are genial, and I’ve listened to more of it than I’d like to admit, but it gets a little exhausting.

SelectedNonfiction · Jun 2025

I started listening in June and this quickly has become my favorite podcast😊! Joe and Chris’ movie and Oscar knowledge is so impressive, and their friendship and enthusiasm for movies makes their episodes packed with information delivered in a fun and interesting way. I highly recommend their Patreon too! Mondays are THOB day in our house and my husband and I watch along each week!

Jenna of Genovia · Mar 2025

THOB is the rare podcast that simply works purely off the dynamic of the hosts. Joe and Chris (and their obvious love for each other) are a joy to listen to. Even though the episodes are about twice as long as they need to me, it works because the appeal of this show IS the tangents and rabbit holes. Thank you for keeping this going for so long!

Ryan Drawdy · Feb 2025

I’m a 63 year old straight woman who adores this show! These two guys are so knowledgeable and funny. The podcast is informative and entertaining. I highly recommend it to anyone who has an interest in movies, 🏳️‍🌈❤️🎥😂
