The You and Ryan Show

Totally agree with the other reviews about the potential here. I want to support you and listen to the show but we don’t need the radio bits—we got radio for that! Also agree with the podcast format comment, it needs flow. And we want to hear from you, personal stories. Maybe a co-host to bounce off of? I will continue to listen as I know it can take time to find the flow and style. Best of luck!

Ryan, I’m so glad you’ve found another platform to pursue your passion. After listening to the first episode, I have what I hope you see as constructive feedback. We’ve heard these segments on your former show and so many other radio shows do them. This isn’t new or innovative. That “Answers” segment sounded so fake I couldn’t even take it seriously. My guess is that you created some scenarios to kick off the show in hopes that real callers will reach out and give you actual stories. The second episode was even more unbelievable. James was definitely Ryan playing James. If this is supposed to be for entertainment purposes, then you should mention that. I know you aren’t able to discuss why you aren’t on the radio anymore (by the way, you are missed and the show isn’t the at great without you) but if you could at least discuss what’s has been going on with you since you left, that would make this new show more interesting. It’s a podcast. The podcasts I listen to and enjoy are the ones where the hosts share about themselves and make me care about them. We don’t need the nitty gritty dirty details, but I’d like to get to know more about you. Maybe you can do interviews, share stories about your past. If this show is the “YOU” and Ryan show, instead of doing these tired segments, actually talk to every day people doing great things. Let them come on and share harrowing or heartwarming stories. I’m going to stick with the show and give it a shot, but if we just hear performances and stuff we can hear elsewhere, it will eventually get old. I am rooting for you Ryan. I want you to be successful. But this isn’t going to work with the current format of your show.

I listened to the first two episodes this morning. They are as entertaining and wild as I thought they would be. My only thing is that everyone sounds so fake, like really bad actors :( also, there are maybe some sound issues? Like some episodes or parts are lower or further away than others so it was a bit hard to hear on some (I think mostly Ep. 2). Anyway, glad you’re back and I know it will just get better from here. Will keep listening!
