These guys are still the best in the car world. Interesting and fun conversations driven with a deep knowledge of the subject. Never not in my top rotation.
The Smoking Tire Podcast is a must-listen for car enthusiasts and casual fans alike. Matt Farah’s wit, deep automotive knowledge, and fantastic guests make every episode both entertaining and informative. Keep up the great content!
I believe this is the best car podcast out there. Great guests and interesting topics. However, the constant cursing and pathological hate for Tesla/Elon Musk that seems to pop up every episode is tiresome. It’s easy to skip past these parts, but Matt…please grow up. Listening to you curse so much has made me curse LESS because it sounds so ridiculous. I still rate this podcast highly on content alone.
Love The Smoking Tire, been listening for about 4 years. Recently, I’ve started listening to the old episodes, starting with episode 1. Wow! It was a completely different show back then, and in many ways the modern iteration is improved, but one thing I wish they would bring back is the old car ads and funny clips they would play at the start of the show, or after ad breaks. So cool! Keep up the good work guys.
Can be a good show with the right guest. Unfortunately Matt focuses too much on voicing his mind which overshadows the dialog with his guests. He’s been losing journalistic credibility even prior the Jason Cammisa slander. However, I do applaud Matt for having Jason on a follow up show. In contrast, Zach is more engaging, objective, and seems to embrace the show’s guests. His style better represents peak TST podcast.
The sound quality was just awful on the May 22nd episode. I had to stop listening after a few minutes of distortion and road noise. Please no more on road podcasts. Respectfully from all your loyal listeners.
