The Outside View - A Silo Podcast - Apple TV

After watching season 3 episodes 9 and 10, I could not stop thinking about it. I searched Apple Podcasts to see if there were any podcasts talking about the show and found you guys. I was so happy to hear your review of the last two episodes and also your season recap. It helped me so much psychologically to hear your analysis of what I just watched. At first, I was so freaked out that Victor was such a terrible monster. He seemed like such a nice guy when you first meet him. But now I’m wondering if it’s the AI that took over, sometime over the 350 year timeline, and programmed Victor to strip him of his humanity, which is clearly what was done to Daniel. I’m going back and listening to your reviews of season 3 starting with episode 1. I love your banter and your friendship and I’m so happy to know that you guys are as into the show as I am, although I expect you’re even more into the show than I am. Keep up the great work! Can’t wait for season 4 next summer!

Brian and Donnie have officially become the unofficial mayors of the Silo, and honestly, I wouldn’t trust anyone else to guide me through the dust, secrets, and emotional chaos of the Season 3 finale. Their podcast is the rare kind of companion show that doesn’t just recap — it elevates the entire experience. From the moment the episode drops, their banter kicks in like a morning caffeine jolt. It’s sharp, playful, and so naturally funny that it feels like you’re sitting at the table with them, coffee in hand, ready to dissect every twist the writers threw at us. Their chemistry is effortless — the kind of dynamic that makes you smile before they even finish the first joke. And yes, I’ll say it: they’re absolutely better than Mandy Moore at this. She’s great at many things, but Brian and Donnie have carved out a lane that’s uniquely theirs — a blend of insight, humor, and genuine warmth that makes their show feel like a conversation with friends you’ve somehow known forever.

I first happened upon Donnie and Brian when the for all mankind official podcast did not come back. I have followed them through for all mankind, star city, and now this season of Silo. I’m writing this at the beach so there may may be typos or things not capitalized. I have written into them before and they always read my email and thank me for writing in. They are very inclusive and are just simply thoughtful and appreciative of the shows that they are reviewing. I love that they have listeners who are Gen Z, millennial, Gen X, like myself and even boomers who appreciate their takes on each episode. I genuinely look forward to listening to them each week and have also checked out their YouTube channel just so I could put a face to the name. Spoiler they’re both young guys with beards.
