Just stumbled across this podcast. Have only listened to two episodes so far but I enjoy the hosts and they seem to know a lot about metal. My only gripe came with the best Heavy Metal Riffs episode. I understand that some metal heads think it’s uncool to acknowledge Metallica but to leave James Hetfield off of the best riffs list is just wrong. If anyone was to knock Iommi off the Riff Lord pedestal it would certainly be James. Other than that, can’t wait to listen to more episodes!!

Despite being so wrong about ranking the Big Four’s sophomore albums (Everyone knows the correct order is 1. Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying? 2. Ride the Lightning 3. Hell Awaits 4. Spreading the Disease), how great Ghost is, and the fact that Slayer has made great music in the past 25 years, I love this show! I listen to a lot of podcast during the week and I always look forward to listening to THH. It’s like I’m debating music and discovering new bands with some new friends I just met at a show. Keep up the great work, guys! If you’re not aware of Mammoth Grinder yet, give them a listen. Death metal that’s so dirty you need a shower after listening to them.

The original podcast was amazing. The hosts were funny, down to earth, and had great commentary on metal. It was really enjoyable. When an “all new podcast with Rex and Duff” came on I assumed it was the original podcasters changing their names. However, it really does not seem to be. The new guys sound like sports commentators -overly cheerful and fake with a lame, pedestrian sense of humor. I might give another listen a few podcasts in to see if this was a joke and the original guys come back but if not, will have to find a new metal podcast.
