I’ve waited far too long to write this, my apologies Tony and team! Firstly a shoutout to Blurry Creatures, if it weren’t for them I wouldn’t have found The Confessionals! Both podcasts are my absolute favorite to listen to. Tony and his team produce top notch conversations virtually every week! The guests are always fascinating and Tony’s insights are equally so. I’m so very grateful for every moment of effort and care y’all put into this show!
This is by far one of the best paranormal podcasts! Maybe even the very best! Awesome interviews, my pet peeve with interviews, is the interviewer talks more than the guest! And constantly interrupts the speakers story. But Tony, just lets the person go with little or no interruptions! That’s so appreciated! It’s the only podcast that has ever moved me enough to become a plus member! The show should be a template for other podcasters on how a podcast should be produced! The Merkel family have really built a fine podcast! From the ground up!
Hits all the bases: entertaining, intellectually and spiritually enriching, both serious AND funny… This show has made me a more informed and well armored Christian. I can’t say enough good this about it. I recommend it to everyone I know.
Stumbled upon this podcast a few weeks ago and i CANNOT STOP LISTENING!! I love that Tony just lets the guest flow with just the right amount of interjecting and questions. He has a clear dedication to his Christian faith while still remaining very respectful of guests whose faith differs. My new favorite ❤️
I follow a lot of paranormal podcasts, and of them all, The Confessionals is the only one where I don’t feel comfortable interacting with the community, especially on Facebook. Everytime I’ve commented literally anything, be it personal experience or otherwise, I’ve gotten attacked in the comments, always with a fiery religious bent that tries to bully you into submission. The comments section for the recent Mormon/Lucifer episode alone was filled to the brim with endless anti-Mormon bigotry. Dude I’m not even Mormon and it made me sick to my stomach seeing all the hatred. There are just so many people interacting with this podcast that think it’s okay to treat others like garbage because they think differently than they do. The show runners have to do a MUCH better job of moderating their community.
I am a long time listener and loved the Confessionals. I’ve purchased all of the documentaries. The direction of the show is changing and I just can’t get behind it. I want so badly to support Tony and the show but it is going overboard with the guest conspiracy theories, weather altering, anti-vax, etc. Just makes me sad.
