Pets & Animals · Glenn Cooke & Pat Stuart
by Glenn Cooke & Pat Stuart
The Canine Paradigm is an honest and practical dog training podcast hosted by Glenn Cooke and Pat Stuart. Drawing on decades of experience with pet dogs, working dogs, obedience, canine sport, law enforcement and scent work, Glenn and Pat examine what works, what does not and why. Episodes explore dog behaviour, aggression, reactivity, learning theory, training methods, handler development and the realities of living and working with dogs. The conversations are practical, candid and occasionally challenging, without being restricted to one training ideology. Created for dog owners, trainers, handlers and canine professionals who want to think more clearly about dogs, behaviour and training.

I had to have an MRI done of my brain and neck this morning and this podcast was my choice to listen to while that was being done! The MRI made me feel slightly anxious because of the face cage that essentially makes you look like a human construction lightbulb and I needed something familiar and that I knew I would pay attention to in order to distract myself. As an avid listener, your jolly banter made this procedure much easier than the last one I had done! Thanks guys! 🤗
I’ve been listening to these guys talk dogs and life in the car for the past 300 episodes. You should do the same if you’re interested in being a better dog owner/trainer, handler, human. The only issue with this which podcast and which is why they are getting a 5 star review is that I’m sad I don’t have more episodes to listen to. The good news is that for 3 bucks a month I can join their Patreon and get access to a giant back log of info and for just a little more a, live Q&A.
I am just a pet owner who loves to learn about dog training. I look forward to every episode because there is no telling where the conversation will go. These guys are funny and informative, so much experience that they give away for free.
Informative & entertaining. Constantly revisit episodes.
Listening to this podcast feels like stepping back decades into a version of dog training the field has already rejected. The advice is outdated, uninformed, and completely disconnected from modern behavioral science. No qualified, credentialed professional would take this seriously. If you care about your dog’s welfare or your own credibility, this is not a source you should be listening to.
