What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Best podcast out there about chickens! My boyfriend 2 yrs ago asked if we could get chicks. I said no as I had bantams before & lost 5/6 to a dog attack while I was at work. Re-homed the one my daddy saved. I wasn’t ready to risk that again. So I told my bf to ask me again later & if we end up getting married, we’ll raise chicks together. Welp… we’re now married with 19 awesome, adorable chickens, most of which we chose after my husband found your podcast! No more miserable, boring nights at work! We’ve learned so much from you & have taken all the predator proofing steps, got first aid stuff, some gorgeous birds, & we’re so happy we have feather babies! We hug & kiss them every day. Thank you so much for bringing joy to our lives, & delicious recipes! 🩷

I have been listening to this podcast for a few years and have learned so much from Holly and Chrisie. They have helped me pick not only choose the best breeds for my flock, but the podcast has helped me learn how to care for them from new chicks to old age. As an added bonus, the podcast is fun to listen to! Their joyful personalities always brighten my day.

I’ve kept chickens for 20+ years and I still learn from the Chicken Ladies! Holly and Chrisie convinced me to add Delaware chickens to my flock and I love them.

Where to start… I started listening to you girls at the very beginning of this year. I had never listened to a podcast before, but with coffee and chickens in the title I couldn’t resist! As a chicken tender myself, I’m not new to chickens, but y’all actually got me back into them after taking a break. Now here I am again a proud chicken tender and duck mama! I listen to y’all every day on my way to work, during work, and on my way home. The advice, knowledge, and special guests have helped me so much. But what really got me hooked were your episodes on the Welsh Harlequin ducks (which I have!) and the Black Copper Marans and Blue Laced Red + Splash Laced Red Wyandottes which happen to be my absolute favorite breeds, annnddd sitting on the farm in their coops🤣 From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all the wisdom, laughs, and learning moments. You’ve made this chicken mama’s days brighter and my flock even better!
