That’s On Period!

I’m 10 and I’ve recently experienced my first “real” period. (heavier bleeding, cramps, cravings, mood swings, etc.) I was looking for a podcast about periods to help me feel less alone, since all of my friends don’t have their periods. This was the first podcast I found that I felt was targeted to a younger audience, and I want to thank you for all you guys are doing. ☺️❤️🌸🩸

I’m 11 going on 12 and I just got my period and this podcast is just so helpful and has helped me feel more open to talking about period with my friends, and has just been nice to listen to, and has helped me understand other people’s experiences and connect with other people about similar ones. ♥︎

I love your podcast and mission! I just wanted to debunk something tho! Christians actually don’t believe that periods are unclean! The part of the Bible that talks about that is the Old law, the rules that helped people to be able to be in the presence of a perfect God, Even though we are sinful. In those days, the idea was that the period blood could “pollute” the sacrificial blood that had to come from a perfect, unblemished animal in order to cover the sins of imperfect people. If the period blood somehow came in contact with the sacred, sacrificial blood, it would make the blood imperfect, because people are imperfect. When Jesus came, He lived a perfect life and died on the cross, and shed HIS blood to pay for our sins as the ultimate, Last sacrifice, doing away with the old rules, because now we can have a personal relationship with a perfect God, because Jesus’ blood covers all our sins!! I just wanted to debunk a little bit of that stigma! In Christianity, there’s nothing “unclean” about blood. In fact, it has only been a beautiful representation of coming closer to God. 🫶🏼

So I started listening to this right after I got my first period and this helped so much! It helped a lot and made me ignore my cramps completely so thank you so much for making this!
