What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

I just wanted to say that I thoroughly enjoy this podcast, keep up the great work. I especially like how the format is very casual in a way that feels like I’m hearing a story from a couple of friends. I LOVE hearing about other people’s experiences with the unknown. Very 10/10 definitely recommend! :3

BerritheStrawberryDog · Dec 2024

I agree with some of the other recent reviews, I enjoyed the show more with just Ashley. I am open to different hosts other than Ashley, but the sisters sound too scripted and not relatable. Some of it is downright cringy. It’s hard to listen sometimes, but I continue on because I love Ashley and all the work she does for her various podcasts and books. The episode about nightmare deaths came as a surprise that just Ashley was hosting! It was a great episode and I felt like we were back to the enjoyable and interesting podcast Supernatural once was. Not sure the sisters are right for this job.

RogaKL · Dec 2024

It is bizarre to me that people are hating so much on the host transition. I think the roll out and framing it as a “big surprise” was part of the problem. That made for a much more awkward transition - “surprise, I’m completely changing the format of this show that you love!” is probably what generated so much hate. You hear “big surprise” and think something cool is coming, not a huge change like new hosts and a different format. That aside, it is abundantly clear that they are listening to the feedback and adapting accordingly. Things change. Give them a chance to find their stride & lay off the Haterade y’all.

Taylor8118 · Dec 2024

When the new hosts took over it felt like moms reading a story book to a kid and I absolutely hated it! However I figured they needed to work the kinks out. They are getting better and I am sure they read the comments! I do think they have a bit to go to not sound like they are reading a child’s book to a kid. I would love if they researched and, had talking points but talked to each other like the sisters they are. More real convos less script!

Mchll1 · Dec 2024

I’ve been a crime junkie and audiochuck listener since its inception and appreciate the wide variety of investigative journalists and hosts across the audiochuck podcasts but with the sisters hosting So Supernatural I went from highly anticipating each new Friday episode to slogging my way through the new episodes or shutting it off altogether. It feels too scripted and quippy and just isn’t as engaging. It feels like more banter than content. I appreciate the sister dynamic but don’t think they are a good fit for this show unfortunately.

Hanagore · Dec 2024

I was absolutely obsessed with season 1. Ashley had me hooked from the second she introduced the topic of each show. Ever since the host change though I’ve never really been hooked, I usually stop listening after 5-10min which bums me out cause I love the supernatural, just miss Ashley’s story telling.
