Texan here! HEB is hands down the best grocery store there is! I travel often for work to cities that have Publix and I’d say it’s a close 2nd. HEB is clean, often times their own brand is better than the name brand, and just always the best all around! Next time y’all are in Texas, stop in one… you won’t be disappointed!

I love that this podcast feels like I’m hanging out with my friends back in high school and college. I’m always wanting to contribute to the conversation though. On the Fairy tale episode, I was delighted to hear Brian mention Phil Keaggy! He also mentioned remembering a story about the girl locked in the closet while the other kids went out to play. That’s All Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury. I’m not as old as Brian but I was lucky enough to grow up in a world where we got to read Bradbury in school. Also, in the Christmas episode, Nate mentioned his favorite movie being Scream. I was reminded that I discovered Nate back in 2018, on another podcast called Movie Crush where he discussed Scream. From there, I looked him up on YouTube, watched his specials and despite his taste in movies, my whole family have been fans ever since. I appreciate what you guys do. Thanks for the laughs!

So I have enjoyed more than 30 episodes but despite their claims to being unpolitical and very accepting of everyone’s view points I have heard them dismiss and make light of concerns of racial prejudice regarding using American Indian names for sports teams, they have made fun of celebrities who have political opinions and they claim everyone should just vote how they want (as if when a fascist candidate is running for office: Trump, staying quiet is a morally acceptable position. It is not. I see it as a veiled attempt to keep Trump supporters happy at best or an indication that they believe Trump is a normal candidate-He is not.) I have heard them dismiss and belittle legitimate claims around racism, sexism, homophobia as “Political Correctness” when this is simply a form of gaslighting and minimizing real hatred as something innocuous. Lastly in an episode I heard today a claim that something was racist was dismissed as being the problem and issue of the person who pointed out it was racist and not those who commit racist acts. 98% of what they do is great everyday humor but these inexcusable comments and behaviors trickle out and make the show something I will not listen to any more.
