Perfect Organism is the only podcast for the Alien Universe a fan could need. In addition to having an encyclopedic knowledge of the extended lore, the hosts bring the type of thoughtful insights and critiques that only people truly fluent in the art of storytelling can. Jaime and Patrick are fantastic, but so are the guests and the staple of co-hosts that cycle through on different episodes. I often disagree with opinions expressed on the show, but the episodes are always thought provoking. And where is the joy of geeky obsession if not in having heated disagreements with other people just as passionate as you? Every time I check out another Alien podcast, it always reminds me just how good PO and the people who produce it are. I always come back. Can’t recommend enough.

I found this podcast at a time I didn’t know I needed it. The Alien franchise is the best out there and the depths to which this pod goes to explore the series makes it stand out above the rest. Whether it be reviews of current and past media, roundtables, interviews or delving into the characters that we all love so much, including the baddest movie creature ever, this is the spot for all fans of the franchise. The hosts make you feel a part of the community and are engaging and personable. 5 facehuggers!

This show has been around for a Decade and I only found it after Alien: Earth released, I listened to their full coverage of the show and when the series finale released I went back to listen to the whole Catalog of episodes. This show is unlike most Pods I have found in that the integrity and format of the show have changed very little since the start. These people successfully champion their own opinions while also driving the opinions of others to the front of the line to make the fandom feel completed within their conversations. Thank you for providing over a Decades worth of high quality content for a high quality franchise!

This group of Alien fans represents a range of views on the franchise and carries out engaging and enlightening discussions of the Alien universe. Enjoyable and entertaining. It’s great to be in the virtual company of people (and maybe a synth or two) who love Alien as much as I do.

I found this podcast increasingly difficult to listen to. The hosts often confuses personal disappointment or unmet expectations with meaningful critique. It’s one of the strangest approaches I’ve ever encountered to a TV show podcast. There seems to be a culture on the show where if you preface your comments with “oh, I’m going to say stuff but I liked it,” you’re then free to complain for the next 15 minutes about how it didn’t live up to what you wanted—very odd. What makes this even stranger is that the Alien IP has always been incredibly flexible, accommodating a wide range of voices, styles, and types of storytelling. To treat it with such rigid expectations, only to then complain endlessly when those expectations aren’t met, feels misguided. Instead of exploring the creativity the franchise makes possible, the podcast gets stuck in narrow frustrations, episode after episode.

As someone that has loved ALIEN my whole life, stumbling across this show was amazing. I have been listening to it for the last years now and in some ways, it’s really just unparalleled. The access to filmmakers, production, artists interviews is exactly what you want from a podcast that delves deep into the world you love. The show has only gotten bigger and better. With that said, recently the show has just become …terrible. The last couple of episodes I keep saying “That’s it. I can’t do this show anymore..” only to come back and try more time. The last year’s I’ve gotten to know the different personalities on the show; what they like, what they don’t like etc and it’s OK to disagree and hear other opinions. That’s what the show is about. My criticism isn’t that I disagree with the people that are disagree with—-but they’re just so insufferable I can’t listen to their argument anymore. Obviously, these podcasters care enough about the series to have a podcast about it— but it’s really just become complaint after complaint after weird emotional complaint. It’s not FUN to listen to.
