Our Bloody Obsession

After getting caught up in the discourse surrounding the movie “The Sound of Freedom” I got in the mood for a deep dive into another flick that exploited the people it purported to elevate- “Cannibal Holocaust”. I listened to 25 different podcasts and found 20 repeated the same conversations, largely reading aloud the entries on the movie from Wikipedia and IMDB. This podcast was one of the 5 that stood out enough for me to listen to more of their back catalogue. At the end of the day, this is one of the 4 that I subscribed to, finding that it has discourse and content that you won’t find on the vast majority of other podcasts. I hope you enjoy it as well.

Our Bloody Obsession has quickly grown to be one of my favorite podcasts. Zoe and Kelly have great chemistry. The subject matter may be tough at times but they always have thought provoking conversations that make for a great show. Highly recommended

I just discovered this podcast and am enjoying the discussions on extreme horror. Zoë’s voice is so pleasant— and doesn’t sound like the typical basement edgelord of other extreme horror podcasts which makes the podcasts easy to listen to. Smart takes and reviews. If you’re into this kind of horror, I highly recommend.

The Zobo with a Shotgun podcast is one of my favorite horror movie podcasts. It focuses on extreme horror which is one of my favorite topics! She has a fun view on the films she covers and she always manages to mention a few films I’m not aware of. I’ve made a list of a few films I want to check out thanks to her recommendations! Keep up the good work!
