I was down on my yoga mat, opened up my Apple Podcasts & this gem popped up — I thought it was going to be about psychoanalysis — it’s far better!
From the upbeat cool/smooth jazz theme, to the avant garde Shelter Island John Chamberlain Estate, Museum, & outlandish, outsize couch where the art convo takes place — it’s really good!
It’s a complete departure — & deftly woven marketing for the Chamberlain Estate.
Host Alexandra is smart & comfortably chic, possessing a brilliant combo of conversational & interview skills.
Plus, she’s gently funny, downright sweet & always finds a way to weave in Chamberlain’s artistic journey with that of the guest artist.
She asks such good questions about how the guest artist’s creative journey began & its evolutions, executions, visions, & innovations.
The couch makes it relaxed & it’s a hilarious context for jazz & convo!
It’s also so calming & I love the video, which I can glance at as I do my practice, mostly listening.
Highly recommend — Thank You!

Randomly came across this wonderful podcast while working on a new body of work. I’m currently an artist in residence (in PA), but live in Taos, NM and am an alumnx of CalARTS. I feel so connected to the artists and the little bits of Chamberlain you pepper into the conversations. What a curious concept and inspirational series. Every artist should follow this podcast! 🚀
