Step into the past with the Old Time Radio Westerns Podcast, where we proudly present digitally restored classic Western radio dramas in a way that transcends the limitations of their original recordings. Immerse yourself in the golden age of radio, now reborn with a richness and clarity that surpasses the vintage versions. As specialists in digital restoration, we’ve meticulously enhanced every episode, elevating the audio quality to new heights. The sounds of birds chirping, the creak of a saloon door, the thundering hooves of a pursuing posse, and the crack of gunfire are now delivered with a richness and depth that breathes new life into these timeless tales of the Wild West. Our podcast is a homage to the iconic shows like Gunsmoke, The Lone Ranger, and many more. Each episode is a journey into the untamed frontier, featuring the captivating performances of legendary radio actors and the vivid storytelling that once enthralled audiences nationwide.

I love OT Radio Westerns and Andrew Rhymes provides a regular variety of my favorite programs! His commentary isn’t the most polished, but his passion and commitment make this a great listen!
So stoked to find this show! I’m new to podcasts, and I’m somewhat of an old soul. I’m glad to find options outside of “talk radio”. Really excited to follow and continue to listen as more episodes come out! Thankyou for not letting the entertainment of yesteryear disappear! 600 out of 10 would recommend 👍🏼
OTR Westerns are a great listen. I have heard other versions of Old radio shows that are hard to listen to because of the audio quality. But OTR Westerns provides each episode as a stand-alone product with very good quality for the most part. If you subscribe you can listen in the order it’s posted. There is a little banter by the host at the tail end of each episode- reading emails and providing a little info about the show. I’ve been hooked on OTR for my ride home from work each day. Thank you OTR Westerns....!
During mundane moments at work, I enjoy listening to a good story and OTR Westerns does just that! I've particularly enjoyed "Gunsmoke" and its old commercials as well as some of the other shows. If you want an exciting 25 minutes to kill, OTR Westerns will do it for ya!
The announcer talks too much, rambles on too long and speaks too fast. He needs to learn to annunciate!! It would improve the entire podcast if his comments were limited to one minute at the intro, no comments other than a brief thank you for listening at the end. Mr Rhymes says he started 10 years ago as a “labor of love” (his words) then asks listeners to buy a $750 mic for him or send money for a subscription with vague promises of what one receives for the donation.
