What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Steve has a voice and style made for podcasting. It’s always a pleasure to listen and, yes, the mountains are full of stories that were told on long, dark, winter nights or moonlit summer evenings. I sure miss that pace of life. Thank you for being the keeper of those stories.

Not a lot of chit-chat or melodramatic effects, just spooky stories about Appalachia told just like you heard around campfires when you were a kid.

EllaSkelly · Aug 2019

I’ve been enjoying this podcast before going to bed each night. Each episode is short and well prepared/recorded. Coming from Appalachian folk, I’ve heard some of the tales they share, but had forgotten them over time. Looking forward to more!

I love the way this guy tells a story. I like all of his other podcasts. I would like it if maybe once a month he would do an hour long podcast, just because I love listening to a good, well told story.
