Always my go to for daily news. I appreciate the fact that it is unbiased which allows me to make my own judgment. I also appreciate how they make the show fun to listen to. I learn a lot from the show while having fun listening to it! I feel like the hosts are my buddies!
Not sure how Mo News found me but I’m sure glad our paths crossed. If you’re tired of the bias of the news on the right and the news on the left, Mo News will refresh your ears. Mo News will give you an objective run down of the day’s headlines (when both sides accuse you of bias, it’s a sure bet you’re landing in the middle). Jill and Moshe are careful to present the issues from both sides and do so with the perfect balance of levity and gravity. It’s obvious these two seasoned journalists enjoy working together, take their craft seriously, but themselves—eh, not so much 😂. The daily listens are like hanging out with good friends—challenged, thinking, and happy for it. My only dig: occasion they use potty words, I can’t assign daily listen of Mo News to my students 😂
I’ve been listening to Moshe and Jill daily for years now and I am also a Premium subscriber. They are always the first thing I turn on every week day and it’s like having two friends sit down with me and go through the top news stories. I love their ability to take serious topics (and sometimes not so serious) and turn them into factual understanding in just a few minutes. Moshe and Jill use their many years of journalism experience to keep us updated on what’s going on in the world. I feel better informed and educated after listening. Plus the On This Day In History segment slaps!
This podcast is the best! I listen to it first every single morning. I wouldn’t consider myself a news junkie, but I love their unbiased coverage. Also, if you can, become a premium member so you get weekend coverage and that ask Mo anything podcast?
Update 5/20/2026: Checked this out again. They are now being sponsored / taking ad money from the American Petroleum Institute, while also “reporting” on gas and energy stories/updates. No conflict of interests here! They’re laughing at journalistic standards. This podcast is hosted by a couple of shills. Update 7/31/2025: They’ve admittedly doubled down on the anecdotes. They’re also still reporting news with an implied bias read. Not finding their interviews hard-hitting enough. Original Review (Q3 2024): I was an early listener, back when Mosheh would do nearly daily Instagram Lives in the early pandemic. Found Mosheh’s “reading between the lines” back then to give an even amount of attention to the various sides, perspectives, and political affiliations/leanings around certain topics covered (especially ones that are traditionally political). The podcast launched, with Jill added as a welcomed addition, and became an almost complete replacement of my daily news intake. Lately, as early as summer 2023, I’ve noticed a steady increase in anecdotal expressions, experiences, or tales from their periphery seep into their news coverage / reading. Where before they would obviously state it as anecdotal or leave for the very end of the podcast, I’m now having listen more closely for separation between news readings and their personal readings and experiences. I don’t mind the small talk at the front of each pod and the “this day in history” + “watching / reading” segments, since they feel very separate from the headlines coverage. Difficult to balance, but as I’m writing this review I’m finding bias in coverage and headline readings buried in how much attention and seriousness they give certain topics and stakeholders’ perspectives. Also finding some uses of aggressive adjectives and descriptors that are given to people, organizations, governments, etc. around a topic, but then aren’t used for similar headlines that should also be used for counter affiliates. Don’t get me started on the aggregation of other headlines used on MoNews’ Instagram. This is solely a review about the podcast.
