As a die-hard San Antonio Spurs fan, it’s honestly tough sometimes to get enough quality coverage and insight about the team on a daily basis. That’s exactly why Locked On Spurs has become a must-listen for me. The insight, background, analysis, and conversations they bring make me feel way more connected to the team, the players, and the direction of the organization.
I really appreciate that the show doesn’t just repeat headlines — it actually dives into the why behind roster moves, player development, coaching decisions, and the long-term vision of the Spurs. Whether the team is rebuilding, developing young talent, or pushing toward contention, this podcast keeps fans informed and engaged.
If you’re a true Spurs fan and want thoughtful discussion, great guests, and consistent coverage, Locked On Spurs should absolutely be in your daily rotation. It’s one of the best ways to stay connected to the Silver and Black no matter where you live.

There are other podcasts out there for the spurs but I’m appreciated of Jeff’s daily updates and his tendency to stay relevant to the spurs on all episodes. We’re all wanting a better time and wish sometimes he’d be more optimistic; however, he keeps his info and data accurate and relevant to my favorite NBA team.

Heard Matthew Tynann signed on as the new host so I decided to give it another try and my goodness what a difference. Excited to have a quality daily Spurs podcast.

I get preseason is pretty anemic when it comes to big talking points without sounding repetitive after one has already been covered. Once the season begins is when the podcast gets juicy. But, if we’re gonna listen to the show during the offseason, we’re pretty avid bb fans and get (I hope) the team isn’t gonna win 50 games right outta the shoot bc Wemby is here. Let’s at least skip the Huxtable-family lessons like “we all just have to be patient with this young team, “ & “you remember what it was like being a teenager; you had to go through a lot to get to where you are now.” Maybe a more focused approach that discusses the team’s needs, strengths, weaknesses, potential, etc. for those of us who want to hear about the bb side of things in SAS land vs the process of personally accepting young talent. You’re either a fan or you’re not. If you’re not then you’re not listening to the SAS-oriented podcast. I read a lot of articles about player news, proposed trade packages, etc. the national media will never cover. I wish we could include a lot more info about that stuff. Maybe a co-host with some more interest in that area? Go Spurs Go!

After De’Aaron Fox got traded, and listening to Matt George at the Locked On Kings podcast, this podcast is unbearable. The quality of the production is bad, the content is not good, and the host, Joe Garcia, rambles a lot about things that do not pertain to the Spurs. He has a lack of knowledge when it comes to digging into the content. All that to say, if you want a podcast that does its job when reporting and talking about Spurs news, I would look elsewhere.

This podcast could and should be so much better. The host rarely has original takes or deep insight into the team’s play. Speaks in way too many generalizations. Repeats himself. Hardly any use of analytics or even box score statistics to evaluate individual and team performance. As an interviewer, he asks questions but rarely challenges views he disagrees with or engages the guest. I often get much more out of other locked on podcasts hosts when the spurs play their team. And it seems like most reviewers have noted the poor audio quality. I hate to criticize someone’s hard work in this way, but Spurs fans deserve better
