I love these bite-sized lessons. I don’t mind the ads; this is free, after all. I’m an intermediate French speaker and I find the vocabulary and lessons really great. I’ve learned a bunch of new words and expressions. Some words are simple, like doux. Some are more of a surprise, like déborder. Either way, it’s great learning.

I have been listening for a while and I really think these brief but current news bites are helping me improve my French listening skills. You get just a few sentences, a mere synopsis, of something in the news, repeated, broken down slowly with a few translations and/or examples to help you understand context and use of key words.
It’s not for a beginner, but for an intermediate learner provides a listening experience which, together with watching French movies, listening to French radio, etc., creates the kind of immersive experience that can take your learning to a new level.
