Getting Hammered®

by Laissez-Faire Media

A sharp, funny politics podcast for people who want the news without the freakout. Each week, Getting Hammered® takes a hammer to the headlines, breaking down politics, media spin, and cultural meltdowns with skepticism and fun. But keep you informed on serious topics with no panic and no partisan loyalty tests. Just laughs, well-earned side-eye, and occasional libations.

What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

My first episode featured Vic championing beef tallow fries and I thought I accidentally turned on an old episode of the Sub-Standard. That was the hook and a fellow Dawg bringing SEC caliber news analysis had me subscribing. Thanks for the podcast!

Nickname that isn't taken! · Nov 2024

This is my favorite podcast because of the hosts’ chemistry and good vibes all around. It’s incredibly smart and educational and covers serious news with an insider perspective and penchant for the positive. I love that Vic’s from NJ (I can relate) and hearing about MC’s family. I even enjoy the theme music - sets the tone.

CathyCat8419 · Sep 2024

I always enjoy when this podcast drops. I walk each morning listening to podcast. The beginning when the fun music starts my day right and of course, the content , the witty banter and great analysis all with humor and some seriousness when needed is setting the right tone! Thank y’all

AuntieJ19 · Sep 2024

Too many political shows are designed to make your blood boil. This one provides good insight while also not trying to manufacture outrage. You’re probably not going to like this podcast if you’re drinking the koolaid from the far-right or the far-left.
